Maria Islands Nature Walk
These are two small Islands off the coast of Vieux Fort. The walk showcases the unique and breathtaking views of the town of Vieux Fort, the Pitons, and the entire Pointe Sable area.
Major nesting site for migratory birds which travel thousands of miles from the west coast of Africa to nest annually. It's also the site of the worlds smallest snake, the Kouwes snake and the Zandoli Te Lizard. The males have an outstanding blue tail.
There are no toilet facilities or watse management on the Island, so be prepared to bring back any trash that you bring.
Note: You can see the Islands very well along the beach stretch across from the International airport.
Tours are done by appointments only!!
