La Marguerite Festival
La Marguerite Festival aka The Feast of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. This event takes place on October 17th. It's one of two rival floral societies in St. Lucia. This group sings the virtues of the marguerite flowers.
There's a structured hierarchay which consist of a king and a queen as head of the society and other dignitaries patterned upon the socio-economic structure of colonial society.
The festival consist of all night singing and dancing, where drinks are sold and games are played.
